What guided Che Guevara, a young medical student turn revolutionary to free thousands of oppressed while brutally massacring countless others? I believe he wanted to set a point, an example if you will of the old fascist regime to any whom dared oppose their revolutionary government. Che was the kind of man whom wanted freedom for the common man but realized that government and true freedom cannot coexist at the same time. One must give up certain freedoms in order to enjoy the benefits of a central government. Che Guevara probably started out with the right intentions but those intentions were never materialized.
