Che Guevara: 40 Years Later

Che Guevara was an icon for freedom and equality amongst people of a nation. He symbolized as an inspiration by younger liberal crowds. Although he has done ill in his past and contributed to the rise of the Cuban government, I believe that this report of Che Guevara is vastly biased to one side of the argument instead of being neutral as a news reporter. This show is one that shouldn't get much attention and does not give facts on both sides of a controversial issue.

Before today, I have never really known about Che Guevara or whom he was as a person or a political figure. However, I must say that I have seen the iconic stylization of his face in high contrast shirts or merchandise. Thus, this did stir my interest enough to do a little background research on Che Guevara. Yes, he was a brutal executor and a antagonist for consumer markets, however he was still a great idealist whom worked towards the freedom of his people.

  1. I agree, before this i did not know a whole bunch about Che Guevara, so when watching the clip, i felt like i wanted to agree, but i was waiting for the,"why", The why people cared enough to wear these t-shirts. i could not believe that people were that ignorant. I think that the clip did not go into enough detail, it was a one sided issue that, while leaving wanting to do research, made me feel basis. So while the clip is effective to get people to do research, it did not persuade me in any way.

  2. It seems as if he is a poor reporter. The news should be an unbiased way to receive information. He only provides one side of the argument and therefore is not providing a good news report. I felt as if he was missing an important part of Che's life.

  3. He had the best interest for his country but he could of cared less for his people, as he killed many of them. I also do feel like it is a one sided argument but the facts are all valid and he has a good valid source.

  4. I guess he should have added information on both sides, but I don't think he should be a hero because of all the people that he killed. We see that this man does not like Che, but he doesn't exactly tell you why, so i guess we would have to do more research in order to really understand all of the facts.
